Agnes Martin It is those subtle emotions coming from a deeper inner emotional place ... that GESCO seeks to express in her paintings. To create her tactile universe, she builds on layers using different materials to achieve a heavily impasto surface, and uses colors to create a sense of depth. GESCO draws her inspiration from literature, poetry and human behavior. Through expressive bold brush and palette knife marks, she builds a patterned surface that will help the viewer invoke their inner feelings, their hidden dreams, their most intimate emotions. GESCO's artwork is an invitation to seek beneath and beyond, to engage in an inner journey that will awaken emotions, passions, or inspire calm, peaceful pleasure. GESCO means to create a window to reverie that the viewer can vanish into. To let go.   After taking drawing classes in Argentina, her home country, GESCO studied sculpture and painting in Palaiseau, France, where she has been living since 1992. In 2017, GESCO turned to abstract painting, style that allows her to create and express herself from a deeper inner emotional place…  Literature, as well as some historical events, inspire her. Part of her work has been auctioned for charities.
