Chantal Florencia
Chantal (b.1954) is based in south west France. She has long been fascinated by natural sciences, myths and beliefs. Living things in all their plant, human and animal forms, as well as metamorphoses, play a major role in her art. In recent years Chantal has returned to figurative art working in oils and Indian ink.
Her world view is both realistic and Edenic yet sits against a backdrop of the negative changes happening in today’s world and the urgent need to rethink our relationship with nature and the earth.
